Easy Sautéed Corn (15 minutes)

Saute fresh corn in a skillet with butter and a few simple seasonings to create an easy side dish!

Ingredients

  • 4 ears fresh corn (or 4 cups frozen corn)
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt plus more to taste
  • 1/4-1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • fresh parsley or basil for garnish

Instructions

  1. Slice the kernels from the cobs into a large bowl.
  2. In a 10-inch to 12-inch skillet set over medium high heat, melt the butter. Add the corn, garlic powder and a pinch of salt. Saute for 4 to 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until tender.
  3. Season to taste with the remaining salt and pepper. Serve garnished with fresh herbs, if desired.

Notes

  • Storage and Reheating: Store leftover skillet corn in a sealed container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in a skillet over medium heat. You can also serve chilled over a salad or bowl. 
  • Fresh corn is best but you can use frozen corn kernels, if needed.
