Easy Sesame Flaxseed Crackers
These crackers blend sesame flour and ground flaxseeds into a thin, crisp baked snack topped with sesame seeds for extra nutty flavor and crunch. The delicate texture and modest seasonings make them a versatile accompaniment or light snack. They are low in carbs and simple to prepare, making them practical for everyday nibbling or serving alongside dips and spreads.
Ingredients
- ½ cup sesame flour
- ½ cup Flaxseed milled/ground
- ½ cup water
- salt sea salt
- black pepper optional
Topping
- sesame seeds for sprinkling
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 180C or 350F.
- Mix all ingredients in a large mixing bowl with a fork.
- Spread the dough thinly on a silicone mat or roll out between 2 sheets of parchment paper. Sprinkle over sesame seeds.
- Pre-cut the dough into squares with a knife or pizza cutter.
- Bake for 20 minutes or until crispy an the edges are beginning to brown.
- Let cool completely, then separate into crackers and store in an airtight container.
Notes
- Yield is about 20 crackers per batch.
- Store crackers in an airtight container at room temperature to keep them crisp.
- Optional black pepper can be added for a subtle spice note.
- The crackers are very low in net carbs, about 0.2g per cracker.
