  • 1 head broccoli
  • salt to taste
  • ground black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Clean your broccoli thoroughly, then slice the broccoli florets into small pieces.
  2. Place the broccoli pieces in a steamer basket.
  3. Add one inch of water to a saucepan. Bring it to a boil over medium-high heat.
  4. Place the basket inside the saucepan.
  5. Cover the pan, and reduce heat to medium.
  6. Steam for 5-7 minutes or until you can pierce the broccoli stalk with a fork easily.
