Easy Tri-Tip Roast

This Easy Tri-Tip Roast features a savory dry rub made from garlic salt, black pepper, brown sugar, garlic, onion powder, and cayenne, combined with vegetable oil to marinate the beef. The roast is first seared on the stove to develop a browned crust, then oven-roasted to desired doneness. The resting period after roasting allows juices to redistribute, resulting in tender, flavorful slices when cut against the grain.
