Edible Brownie Batter

You only need 10 minutes to whip up a batch of this Edible Brownie Batter. If you love brownies, you'll love this rich, chocolate batter!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour heat-treated (see note)
  • ½ cup cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp espresso powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ⅓ cup butter melted
  • ½ cup sugar
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, stir together the flour, cocoa powder, espresso powder, and salt until smooth; set aside
  2. In a small bowl, stir together the melted butter, sugar, brown sugar, milk, and vanilla extract.
  3. Pour the butter mixture into the flour mixture.
  4. Stir until completely combined.
  5. Fold in chocolate chips.
  6. Enjoy!

Notes

  • Heat-treating flour is recommended before consuming it raw, to kill any bacteria that may be present. To heat-treat your flour, simply spread flour on a baking sheet and bake at 350°F for 5 minutes. Allow the flour to cool completely before using in a recipe.

  • For a vegan version - Simply substitute a vegan butter and plant based milk.
