Ingredients

  • 2¼ cups all purpose flour divided
  • ⅛ teaspoon salt or to taste
  • 2 large eggs
  • ⅓ cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon butter softened

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. In a large bowl, combine 2 cups of flour and salt. Set aside.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk the eggs. Add the eggs, milk and butter to the flour mixture. Stir with a fork to bring the ingredients together and once a dough begins to form, use your hands to combine.
  3. Knead the dough on a lightly floured work surface, adding more flour a little bit at a time if it's too sticky. Continue kneading for about 5 minutes or until smooth. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and rest at room temperature for 20 minutes.
  4. Using the remaining flour, generously flour your work surface. Roll the dough into a long rectangle about ⅛ inch thick (If desired, split the dough in half and roll it out in batches to make it easier to handle). Cut into strips with a pizza cutter or knife and dust with flour.
  5. Bring a large pot of salted water to a rolling boil.
  6. Add the noodles and cook for 3 minutes or until cooked. Serve with butter or your favorite sauce.

Notes

  • Leftover egg noodles can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3-4 days.
