Ingredients

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar , packed
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1 cup coffee , room temperature
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 5 cups cake flour
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup mini chocolate chips
Frosting:
  • chocolate frosting

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and spray a 9x13-inch baking pan with baking spray.
  2. In a large mixing bowl add the sugar, brown sugar, vegetable oil, milk, coffee, and vanilla extract.
  3. Whisk carefully until well combined.
  4. Sift together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients 1 cup at a time, very carefully whisking.
  6. Fold in the mini chocolate chips.
  7. Pour into baking pan and bake for 55-60 minutes.
  8. Remove from oven, let cool completely, and frost with chocolate frosting.
