Ingredients

  • 2 oz. strong brewed espresso (or coffee, very hot)
  • 1 oz. water
  • 2 oz. heavy whipping cream , very cold
  • sugar , to taste
  • Chocolate shavings or cocoa powder , for garnish (optional)

  • Espresso machine
  • Electric whisk
  • Piping bag

Instructions

  1. Pour the coffee into a large cup or serving glass.
  2. Add the water and, if necessary, a little sugar until completely dissolved.
  3. Using an electric whisk, whip the thick crème fraîche until stiff peaks form.
  4. Using a piping bag or a spoon, delicately place the whipped cream just above the coffee to form a layer on top.
  5. Optionally, sprinkle with chocolate shavings or cocoa powder.
  6. Serve immediately.
