Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- 1/2 cup cold water
- 1 large onion diced
- 1 red bell pepper diced
- 1/2 pound lean ground beef
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon sweet paprika
- 2 medium tomatoes diced
- 1 clove garlic minced
- 2 tablespoons minced parsley
- 1/4 cup chopped green olives
- 1 large egg beaten for egg wash
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine olive oil, water, and salt. Gradually add flour, mixing until a dough forms.
- Turn dough onto a floured surface and knead until smooth. Let rest for 30 minutes.
- In a skillet, sauté onion and bell pepper until soft.
- Add ground beef, salt, pepper, and paprika. Cook until beef is browned.
- Stir in tomatoes and garlic, cooking until thickened.
- Remove from heat and stir in olives and parsley.
- Divide dough into pieces, roll out, and fill with beef mixture.
- Fold dough over filling, seal edges, and brush with egg wash.
- Bake at 400°F for 20 minutes or until golden.
