Fig Smoothie

Report
The Fig Smoothie blends Greek yogurt, almond milk, protein powder, figs, and pomegranate seeds into a creamy and fruit-forward drink. Using fresh or frozen figs affects thickness and temperature, with ice added when fresh figs are used to chill the smoothie. Coconut flakes add a textured garnish option, making it suitable for a nourishing snack or breakfast beverage.

Description

The recipe calls for blending Greek yogurt and almond milk with vanilla protein powder, figs, and fresh pomegranate seeds until smooth. Adding ice is recommended if fresh figs are used to keep the smoothie cool and thick. The blend balances creamy yogurt with the natural sweetness and slight tartness of figs and pomegranate.

Garnishing with coconut flakes adds a subtle crisp texture contrasting the smooth smoothie. This drink is intended as a healthy, protein-enriched option that can be easily customized with banana, chia seeds, oats, nut butters, or spinach, the latter requiring prior blending to avoid chunks.

Protein powder should be layered between other ingredients to prevent overheating and off flavors during blending. This smoothie pairs well with a nutrient boost and pleasant fruity flavor.
