Ingredients

  • 2 cups glutinous rice
  • 2 ½ cups coconut milk
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup coconut cream (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Wash glutinous rice and drain. Cook it with coconut milk, brown sugar, and salt over medium heat, stirring often, until thickened.
  2. Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish and spread evenly.
  3. Combine coconut cream and brown sugar for the topping. Simmer until thickened, then spread over the rice layer.
  4. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 15-20 minutes or until the topping is caramelized.
