Flat Iron Steak
Flat iron steak is one of the most underrated yet delicious cuts of beef. Juicy, tender, and packed full of flavor, it's a real treat! My flat iron steak recipe takes this cut of meat to the next level with a simple marinade that adds even more flavor. Plus, once you know how to cook flat iron steak - you can have restaurant-worthy steak at home whenever you want!
Ingredients
For the Marinade
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 3 tablespoons lemon juice
- ⅔ cup olive oil
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 garlic minced, clove
- ½ cup scallions chopped
- 1-2 pound flat iron steak
For the Seasoning Mix
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon paprika
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
- Combine the marinade ingredients and add the flat iron steak.
- Let sit for 1 hour, up to overnight.
- Remove the flat iron steak from the marinde.
- Season with the salt, pepper, and paprika.
- Add 2 tabelspoons of olive oil to a medium pan over medium heat.
- Cook the flat iron steak for 5-6 minutes per side, until the internal tempeature reaches 135ºF.
- Let rest 10 minutes. Slice against the grain and serve.
