Flat Iron Steak

Flat iron steak is one of the most underrated yet delicious cuts of beef. Juicy, tender, and packed full of flavor, it's a real treat! My flat iron steak recipe takes this cut of meat to the next level with a simple marinade that adds even more flavor. Ingredients

For the Marinade
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice
  • ⅔ cup olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 garlic clove minced
  • ½ cup scallions chopped
  • 1-2 pound flat iron steak
For the Seasoning Mix
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon pepper
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. Combine the marinade ingredients and add the flat iron steak.
  2. Let sit for 1 hour, up to overnight.
  3. Remove the flat iron steak from the marinde.
  4. Season with the salt, pepper, and paprika.
  5. Add 2 tabelspoons of olive oil to a medium pan over medium heat.
  6. Cook the flat iron steak for 5-6 minutes per side, until the internal tempeature reaches 135ºF.
  7. Let rest 10 minutes. Slice against the grain and serve.
