Flatbread Recipe

Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 1/4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 3/4 teaspoon granulated sugar optional
  • 1 cup plus 2 tablespoons water
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Add sugar if using.
  2. Add water and olive oil to the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms.
  3. Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 3-5 minutes until smooth.
  4. Heat a skillet over medium heat. Divide the dough into 9 pieces and roll each into a thin circle.
  5. Cook each flatbread for about 1-3 minutes per side until golden and puffed up.
