French Onion Dip

This delicious French onion dip is made from scratch with your own homemade dry onion soup mix! The perfect vegetable and chip dip for parties!

Ingredients

  • 1 batch onion soup mix see notes
  • 1 1/2 cups sour cream
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons fresh chives finely minced

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Combine all ingredients together in a large bowl. Adjust seasonings if desired.
  2. Cover and place in the refrigerator for a few hours so that the dry onions soften.
  3. Serve with vegetables and chips.

Notes

  • Use one package of commercial dry onion soup mix if wanted, or use my onion soup mix!
  • Play around with the ratio of mayo and sour cream
  • Use low fat mayo and sour cream if desired
