Fresh Mozzarella and Mushroom Toast

A quick and easy mushroom and cheese-lover's snack, light lunch or dinner that is as tasty as it is fast!

Ingredients

  • 1 lice bread (preferably crusty, Italian)
  • 2 lices fresh mozzarella (or regular mozzarella)
  • ¼ cup Sautéed mushrooms (more or less to your liking)
  • ⅛ tsp kosher salt (or sea salt to taste)
  • ⅛ tsp pepper

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Toast the bread to your liking.
  2. Place the cheese on the bread and melt under the broiler (or in the microwave if you're dying of hunger!)
  3. Top with the mushrooms, salt and pepper. Heat again to warm the mushrooms and serve.

Notes

  • I prefer this done under a broiler/grill, but honestly, a microwave is fine. The flavor is always amazing!
