Ingredients

  • 1 can of biscuit dough
  • 1 cup of cinnamon sugar 1 cup sugar + 1 tbsp cinnamon
  • Canola oil for frying

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Open the can and separate the biscuits. Cut each into six pieces.
  2. Mix sugar and cinnamon in a shallow dish and set aside.
  3. In a deep fryer or heavy pot, heat canola oil to 350°F (175°C). Make sure there's enough oil to submerge the dough.
  4. Drop a small piece of dough in. If it sizzles and floats, the oil is ready.
  5. Carefully place biscuit dough pieces in the hot oil, a few at a time. Don't overcrowd the pot.
  6. Cook for about 1-2 minutes per side until they're golden brown.
  7. Use tongs to flip the biscuits for even cooking.
  8. Remove the fried biscuits with tongs and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil.
  9. While still warm, roll the biscuits in the cinnamon sugar mix for that lovely coating.
