Fried Eggs (All the Ways)

Fried Eggs (All the Ways) are an easy and quick meal. Follow my directions for the perfect sunny-side up, medium fried, or hard fried eggs.

Ingredients

  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon coarse ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. To a large heavy bottomed skillet (that you have a lid for) on medium heat add the butter.
  2. Break the eggs one at a time into a small bowl, then gently add to the pan (this will prevent broken yolks and shell pieces in the pan).
  3. Cook for 1 minute (just when the edges of the eggs are turning white) then cover with lid and reduce heat to medium-low.
  4. For sunny side up cook for 3 minutes covered.
  5. For medium fried cook for 5 minutes covered.
  6. For hard fried cook for 7 minutes covered.
