Fry Sauce Beef Burger

Ingredients

For the Fry Sauce
  • ¼ cup ketchup
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
For the Burgers
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon onion powder
  • ⅛ teaspoon cayenne pepper
For Serving
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • lettuce
  • cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Combine the ketchup and mayonnaise in a small bowl, set aside.
  2. Combine the spices in a small bowl, set aside.
  3. Divide the Ground Beef into 8 pieces and flatten into patties about 4 inches wide. They will be thin, but that is ok!
  4. Season each piece with the spice mixture by sprinkling it on both sides.
  5. Spoon 1 tablespoon of fry sauce onto 4 of the patties.
  6. Use the remaining 4 patties as tops for the patties with fry sauce on them.
  7. Gently crimp the edges with a fork, smoothing them with your hands afterwards.
  8. Heat the grill to  400°F, about medium heat.
  9. Place the burgers on the grates. This is easily done by using a grilling spatula.
  10. Let the patties cook for about 8 minutes on eachside, until the internal temperature reaches 165 °F on a meat thermometer.
  11. Serve the patties with additional fry sauce on hamburger buns with lettuce and cheese.
