Ingredients
- 1/4 cup crumbled blue cheese
- 1 small garlic clove
- 1 teaspoon fresh thyme minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley minced
- 2 tablespoons hot sauce (or to taste)
- pinch of salt
- pinch of pepper
- 1/2 cup sour cream ( full, low fat or fat free)
Notes
- For an extra smooth texture, blend the blue cheese dip in your food processor. I simply mash all the ingredients with a fork.
- This easy dip keeps for at least 2 weeks in the fridge and if you’re a blue cheese person too, you might want to double, triple or quadruple this recipe and have a secret stash in the fridge.
- If you dilute the dip with a little bit of vinegar, you got yourself an awesome blue cheese salad dressing!
- If you prefer a milder taste to your blue cheese, add extra sour cream to the recipe ( 1 tablespoon at a time and taste.)
- Likewise, you can add extra cheese to the recipe for a stronger pungent taste.
- Thin out the recipe into a sauce by adding cream or half n half a tablespoon at a time.
- If you thin it out with extra sour cream, you can use it as a sandwich spread.
- Serve it along veggies, chicken, meat, bread and enjoy!
