Ingredients

  • 4 tablespoon butter unsalted
  • 1 ½ pounds cremini mushrooms
  • 2 tablespoon fresh thyme chopped
  • ½ teaspoon salt or to taste
  • ¼ teaspoon pepper or to taste
  • 5 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tablespoon fresh parsley chopped

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Clean your mushrooms and slice ¼" off the stems.
  2. Melt the butter over medium-high heat. Add the mushrooms, thyme, salt, and pepper. Stir well and cook the mushrooms until they are browned and begin to shrink. About 5-10 minutes.
  3. Add the garlic and cook for another 30 seconds while stirring well. Garnish with parsley, and serve.

Notes

  • Cremini mushrooms are also known as "baby bellas".
  • You can use white button (common) mushrooms, sliced portobellos, or shiitake mushrooms instead of cremini.
  • If you want, you can use other herbs such as sage or oregano. For fresh herbs, use 2 tbsp. For dried herbs, use 1 tbsp.
  • You can adjust the amount of garlic to suit your preference.
