Ingredients
- 3 pounds chicken wings about 12 wings
- 8 tablespoons butter melted
- 1 large lemon
- 6 cloves garlic minced
- 2 teaspoons paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 3 tablespoons cornstarch
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- fresh parsley optional
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Line two large-rimmed baking sheets with parchment paper or aluminum foil.
- In a large mixing bowl combine the melted butter, lemon juice, garlic, black pepper, paprika, and salt. Mix until well combined.
- Dry the wings well with paper towels, which helps to give the wings a crispy skin. Add the wings to the butter mixture and coat completely and evenly.
- Place the wings on the first baking sheet. Sprinkle cornstarch over the wings. Toss to get an even coat of cornstarch all over the chicken wings. Top with parmesan cheese all over the wings, tossing as needed to coat both sides.
- Set the wings on the second pan skin side down in a single layer. See notes
- Place the wings in the oven and bake for 45-50 minutes or until crispy and golden brown. Flip them with tongs half way through the cooking time. Check the wings with a meat thermometer to make sure they reach an internal temperature of at least 165 degrees. See notes about other ways to make them even crispier.
- Serve wings immediately and enjoy! Sprinkle with additional parmesan cheese and fresh parsley and serve with a dipping sauce if desired. Enjoy!

Notes
- You can swap 3 teaspoons of jarred mixed garlic for the fresh garlic. You could also use 1 1/2 teaspoons of garlic powder in place of fresh garlic.
- You can make the wings even crispier by placing a wire rack on top of the rimmed baking sheet. Then place the wings on top of the wire rack. A sheet of parchment paper or aluminum foil can be placed under the wire rack on the rimmed baking sheet for easy cleanup.
- Another option for making the wings crispier is to place them under the broiler for 2-4 minutes after they have finished baking. If you plan to broil the wings, you must use aluminum foil instead of parchment paper as parchment paper can catch on fire at this temperature.
