Ingredients
- 500 gms potato boiled (weighed before being boiled, 1.1 lbs
- 1 egg
- 1 tbsp butter
- 5 tbsp parmigiano reggiano finely grated
- 1 pinch nutmeg
- 50 gms mortadella thinly sliced, 1.75 oz
- 70 gms cheese thinly sliced (provolone, fontal or mozzarella or a mix of those, 2.5 oz
- salt to taste
- butter plus ½ tbsp butter for the top of the pie, to coat the pan
- breadcrumbs plus ½ tbsp butter for the top of the pie, to coat the pan
