Ingredients

  • 2 2 ripe avocados peeled and pitted
  • 1 1 Tablespoon lemon or lime juice plus zest
  • 1-2 1-2 teaspoons olive or avocado oil
  • Sprinkle of salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Add the avocados and lemon/lime juice and zest to the bowl of a food processor or blender. Pluse and slowly drizzle in one teaspoon of oil, up to two, until smooth. This will only take a couple of minutes. Scrape the sides as needed to make sure it's all combined.
  2. Taste test and add salt as needed.
  3. Use immediately as a sauce or dip. Store any leftover sauce in an airtight container. For best results, squeeze lemon or lime on top of the sauce and press plastic wrap flush with the surface to prevent oxidation.

Notes

  • A large food processor will work for this recipe, as long as you make sure to scrape any pieces that might be getting missed. If you have a mini food processor, use it!
