Syrup
- 2 lemongrass white parts only, pounded and sliced
- 2- inch (5cm) piece ginger peeled and pounded
- 1 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 cup sugar
Instructions
- In a jar, add the tea bags to the boiling water and let them steep until cool.
- In a small pot, prepare the syrup by adding lemongrass and ginger to the water. Heat over medium heat until the water reduces to about ½ cup. Add the sugar and stir to combine. Turn off the heat and set aside.
- Add the syrup to the iced tea, followed by the lemon slices, calamansi limes, and ice. Stir well to combine and serve cold.
