Ingredients
- 8 oz milk
- ½ - 1 teaspoon ground turmeric
- ¼ teaspoon ground ginger
- ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Pinch of black pepper
- 1 Tablespoon honey
Instructions
- Heat the milk. Use an electric frother to steam the milk until warm and frothy, or heat it in a saucepan over medium heat until nearly simmering, whisking until frothy.
- Mix the ingredients. In a heatproof mug, combine turmeric, ginger, cinnamon, black pepper, and sweetener. Pour the steamed milk (leaving the foam out) into the mug and stir.
- Top with the foam and give it a quick stir. You can also use a handheld frothing wand to froth the milk.
- Taste and adjust. Taste the golden latte and add more sweetener if desired. Serve warm and enjoy!
Cup of Yum
Notes
- You can use a saucepan to heat the milk if you don’t have a frother. To do this, heat it over medium heat until nearly simmering and then whisk it until frothy. Take care not to burn it.
- Once you add the milk and froth, you can use a handheld frothing wand to fluff it up even more.
- If you’re brand new to making turmeric lattes, use a lighter portion of the turmeric powder. As your taste buds adjust, work your way up to a full teaspoon.
