Greek chicken chops are delicious, flavorful cuts of whole chicken marinated in olive oil, paprika, garlic, and herbs such as oregano and thyme.

Ingredients

  • 4 lb chicken cut into chops
For the chicken marinade
  • 3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 tablespoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
For serving
  • Lemon wedges
  • chili flakes

Instructions

  1. Add the marinade ingredients into a bowl, mix well, and add the chicken pieces. Rub the marinade all over the chicken.Marinate for 30 minutes up to 24 hours refrigerated.
  2. Preheat the oven to 220°C / 425°F.
  3. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  4. Roast chicken chops for 45 minutes. Halfway turn chops to the other side.Use the broiler to develop nice char on the chops for the last minutes of cooking.Necessary: Make sure the chicken is fully cooked and juices run clear.
