Greek Seasoning

This homemade Greek seasoning is the best way to add Mediterranean flair to your cooking! It mixes up in minutes and is the perfect way to add delicious zesty flavor to all of your favorite meals.

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon Dried onion flakes
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons dried oregano
  • 2 teaspoons dried basil
  • 2 teaspoons dried dill weed
  • 2 teaspoons dried marjoram
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 teaspoons cracked black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon, optional
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg, optional

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together all of the spice ingredients until well blended.
  2. Store in an airtight container for up to 3 months.
  3. Enjoy this seasoning as a dry rub on chicken, fish, vegetables, or in dips.
  4. Use Greek seasoning as a marinade by combining 3 tablespoons olive oil, 2 tablespoons lemon juice, and 2 tablespoons Greek seasoning. Mix and marinate with 2 pounds of chicken for 30 minutes before grilling.
