Greek Seasoning

This all-purpose spice mix is the perfect blend of herbs, spices and fresh lemon zest!

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons dried oregano
  • 1 tablespoon dried basil
  • 1 tablespoon dried rosemary crushed
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon dried dill
  • ¼ teaspoon dried thyme leaves
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt or to taste
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest optional, see note

Instructions

  1. If using lemon, zest lemon and add along with other spices to a small bowl.
  2. Mix well to combine. Use immediately to season meat and vegetables.
  3. If storing, place spice mixture on a plate and allow it to sit open at room temperature for 48 hours or until lemon zest is completely dried. Place in a small jar and store at room temperature for up to 3 months.

Notes

  • Lemon zest should be completely dried before storing or the mixture will spoil.
  • Dried lemon zest can replace fresh with no need to dry the mixture.
