Ingredients

  • 32 ounces frozen green beans
  • 1 cans cream of mushroom
  • 1 cup milk (or broth)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp seasoned salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 1/2 cup fried onions
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Add the green beans to the Instant Pot.
  2. In a separate bowl, combine the cream of mushroom, milk, garlic powder, seasoned salt, pepper, and onion powder. Stir until combined. **If you are concerned about burn notice, you can add the cream of mushroom after the pressure cooking time**
  3. Pour mixture over green beans.
  4. Secure lid and set the pressure valve to SEALING.
  5. Cook on HIGH PRESSURE for 15 minutes.
  6. Press CANCEL.
  7. Quick-release the pressure and remove the lid.
  8. Add in the shredded cheddar and 1/2 cup of the fried onions. Stir to combine.
  9. Pour into a serving dish and sprinkle remaining friend onions on top.

Notes

  • If using a newer Instant Pot model, consider adding an extra 1/4 cup of liquid to prevent a burn notice. Avoid stirring after adding the liquid mix to keep thicker components from sticking to the bottom.
