Green Onion Dip (Easy, Creamy Recipe)

This easy and flavorful green onion dip is ready in less than 10 minutes. It is made with just a few simple ingredients, such as cream cheese, sour cream, green onions, and seasonings. Whip up this crowd-pleasing dip for your next party for dipping all your favorite chips or veggies.

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces cream cheese full-fat, softened, room temperature
  • 3/4 cup sour cream or thick Greek yogurt
  • 1 1/2 cups green onion chopped
  • 2 tablespoon dried parsley or 1/4 cup fresh
  • 1/2 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder or 2-3 cloves of garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper

  1. Add the cream cheese, sour cream, lemon juice, parsley, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper to a food processor or blender.
  2. Blend till the mixture is creamy and smooth. No lumps of cream cheese must remain.
  3. Add the chopped green onion to the mixture.
  4. Pulse the onion dip until the onions reach the desired size. If you want a chunkier onion dip, then pulse less. If you want a smoother onion dip, pulse more.
  5. Transfer the green onion dip to a bowl. Cover and refrigerate for about 30 minutes before serving.
  6. Garnish with a few chopped green onions as a garnish. Serve with chips, crackers, or sliced vegetales.
