Green Thai Tea Recipe

This quick and easy green Thai tea recipe, sweetened with honey, is ready in 15 minutes and perfect served chilled or warm.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 tablespoon Thai green tea number one (see notes)
  • 250 ml hot water
  • 100 ml honey
  • 30 ml lime juice
  • 50 ml water

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Place green Thai tea leaves into a cloth filter in a pitcher.
  2. Pour hot water over the green Thai tea leaves in the filter. Let it steep for 3 minutes, or longer, depending on how strong you like it.
  3. Combine water, honey, and fresh lime juice in your serving glass.
  4. Fill your glass with crushed ice.
  5. Gently pour the steeped green Thai tea over the crushed ice atop the honey lime mixture. Serve immediately and enjoy!

  • Thai green tea mix number one brand tea (Chatramue) - It's important to pick the exact brand I used. Original Thai number one brand (Chatramue) is readily available at Asian supermarkets and at Amazon.
