Ingredients

  • 1 pound whole carrots
  • 1 Tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 Tablespoons butter melted
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/8 tsp salt

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Preheat the grill over medium high heat (approximately 400 degrees F). If the carrots are thicker, cut the carrots in half lengthwise.
  2. Toss the carrots in the olive oil and then place the carrots direction on the grill grates. Cook the carrots on the grill for 12-15 minutes flipping them every 3-4 minutes. If the carrots get too browned, move them to indirect heat to prevent them from over browning.
  3. In a small bowl, stir together the melted butter and brown sugar. Just before you are ready to remove the carrots from the grill, brush the glaze onto the carrots (both side) and grill them for 1-2 more minutes.
  4. Remove the carrots from the grill and serve immediately while warm. Enjoy!

Notes

  • We love using whole carrots for this recipe, but you can use baby carrots as well.
  • Just watch them closely to make sure that they don't fall in between the grill grates will grilling them.
  • Refrigerate the leftovers in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
