Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons salt
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 ½ teaspoons onion powder
  • 1 ½ teaspoons dried thyme
  • 1 ½ teaspoons black pepper
  • 1 ½ teaspoons garlic powder

  1. Make the dry rub by combining all of the ingredients and mixing to combine.
  2. Store in an airtight container in a cool dry place. Seasoning mix can last up to a year when properly stored.

Notes

  • Yield: 4 tablespoons seasoning
  • To season ground chicken: brown the ground chicken over medium heat. Drain any excess fat or liquid. Then season the meat with 1 tablespoon of seasoning per pound of meat, or more to taste, and continue to cook 2-3 minutes stirring until the seasoning is evenly distributed through the meat.
