Ground Chicken Sloppy Joes

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground chicken
  • ½ cup chopped onion
  • 1 cup chili sauce or ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon yellow mustard
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 4 hamburger buns

Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground chicken and onion. Cook breaking up the chicken as you stir until the chicken is cooked through and no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes.
  2. Add the chili sauce, brown sugar, yellow mustard, salt, pepper, and garlic powder and stir to combine. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  3. Optional: Toast each hamburger bun.
  4. Pile the ground chicken sloppy joes onto each bun and serve immediately.
