Halibut Poke is a fresh, chilled dish combining cubed halibut with thinly sliced hearts of palm, sweet onion, and green onion. Ingredients
- 1 pound halibut cut into cubes, boneless, skinless
- 2 or 3 hearts of palm sliced thin, 4-inch pieces
- 1 sweet onion diced, small
- 3 green onion sliced thin
- lime zest and juice of 2
- 1 habanero chile minced, or other small, hot chile
- 1 tablespoon Furikake Seasoning optional, Japanese
- 2 or 3 tablespoons sesame oil
- 2 or 3 tablespoon soy sauce
Instructions
- Mix the lime juice with the chopped sweet onion while you chop and cut all the other ingredients. Once everything is all chopped, mix it all together, and served chilled.
Notes
- Serve the poke fresh for optimal texture and flavor; it can be refrigerated up to one day.
