Halibut Poke
Description
This poke features bite-sized pieces of fresh, boneless halibut tossed with thin slices of hearts of palm and diced sweet and green onions. The bright acidity from lime juice and zest lifts the dish, while minced habanero adds a spicy kick. Sesame oil and soy sauce provide a nutty and savory depth that complements the seafood's natural flavor. The ingredients are mixed and served chilled, making the dish refreshing and light.
Halibut Poke works well as an appetizer or light meal on warm days. The mix of firm fish with crisp vegetables and pungent seasonings creates layered texture and flavor. The recipe suggests serving immediately for best freshness but notes it can be held refrigerated up to a day.
