Ingredients

  • 1 can pizza dough 13 ounces
  • 15 slices deli ham sliced thin
  • 10 slices Swiss cheese
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Roll the dough out to form a 13 x 9 rectangle.
  2. Add the slices of ham to completely cover the dough. Cover the ham fully with slices of cheese. Cut the cheese as needed to fit.
  3. Roll the dough up lengthwise. Keep the roll tight and the ham and cheese inside. Pinch the ends close.
  4. Using a sharp knife, cut the roll into 8 pieces. Or for thinner pinwheels, cut them into 10 or 12 pieces. Place the pinwheels into a 9" pie pan and set aside.
  5. Add the butter, garlic, and Italian seasoning to a microwave-safe dish. Melt the butter for 20-30 seconds. Do not over-melt the butter to prevent separation. Once melted, stir to mix.
  6. Brush the tops of the pinwheels with butter.
  7. Place the pan in the air fryer basket and cook at 350 degrees F for 10 minutes or until the crust is fully cooked and golden.

Notes

  • Swiss cheese is the classic choice here, but feel free to mix it up! For a bolder taste, try mozzarella, American, or a sharp cheddar.
  • When rolling up your dough, keep it as tight as possible.
  • When slicing your rolls, aim for even thickness so they all cook at the same rate.
  • These rolls can be baked in a conventional oven. Bake them in a preheated oven at 375 degrees F for about 15-20 minutes or until golden brown and delicious.
