Ingredients

  • 12 hawaiian rolls
  • 3 large eggs
  • ½ cup Half & Half
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter

Instructions

  1. Add 3 large eggs, ½ cup half & half, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, and 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon to a medium bowl and whisk until well combined.
  2. Heat a large nonstick skillet over medium-low heat. Add 2 tablespoons unsalted butter to the skillet, starting with 1 tablespoon, and let it melt.
  3. Dredge 12 Hawaiian rolls one at a time in the egg mixture and place them in the butter. Cook for about 1 minute per side, until golden brown. Continue with the remaining roll slices, adding more butter to the skillet as needed.
  4. Dust the French toast with powdered sugar and serve with fresh berries and maple syrup or coconut buttermilk syrup.
