Ingredients

  • 4 chicken breasts lightly pounded with tenderizer until evenly thick
Buffalo Sauce
  • ¼ cup Frank's Hot Sauce
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
  • 2 teaspoons smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
Optional
  • celery sticks
  • Blue cheese crumbles
  • ranch dressing
  • blue cheese dressing

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. In a medium bowl, whisk well all the buffalo sauce ingredients. Reserve about 2 spoonfuls of sauce to use as a glaze/dip, and refrigerate it.
  2. To the bowl with the buffalo sauce, add the chicken breast and stir it to completely coat.
  3. Allow the chicken to marinate over the counter for 30 minutes.
  4. Meanwhile, preheat your oven to 375F. Transfer the marinated chicken to an oven-safe dish.
  5. Bake for 25-28 minutes, or until the internal temperature reads 165F.
  6. Once the chicken is done transfer to a platter and brush with the reserved buffalo sauce.
  7. Allow it to sit for 10 minutes before slicing it.

Notes

  • Use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature of the baked chicken breasts to ensure it is at least 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Serve the buffalo chicken breasts with blue cheese crumbles, ranch or blue cheese dressing, and celery sticks.
  • Use any kind of hot sauce in place of Frank's.
  • Maple syrup can be used instead of honey for this recipe.
  • Be sure to allow the chicken to soak with the buffalo sauce after it has baked.
