Healthy Peach Frozen Yogurt (5 Minute Recipe)
This Healthy Peach Frozen Yogurt blends frozen peaches, vanilla Greek yogurt, honey, and lemon juice into a smooth, creamy dessert with a light tartness. Blended until soft-serve texture, it can be eaten immediately or frozen further for a firmer consistency. The peach flavor is fresh and natural, complemented by a touch of sweetness and bright lemon. This frozen yogurt offers a fruit-based treat that can be customized with other fruits or mix-ins.
Ingredients
- 16 ounces peaches do not defrost, frozen
- ½ cup Greek yogurt vanilla flavor
- 3 tablespoons honey adjust amount to taste, or agave or sweetener of your choice
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice fresh
Instructions
- Place all of the ingredients in the bowl of a large food processor.
- Blend, scraping down the sides occasionally, until it forms a creamy, smooth mixture. This will take about 3-5 minutes.
- At this point you can serve the frozen yogurt and it will have the texture of soft serve. For a firmer texture, transfer the mixture to a freezer container and freeze for a couple of hours before serving.
Notes
- Adjust the amount of honey or sweetener to suit your taste and the tartness of the yogurt and fruit.
- If using plain yogurt instead of vanilla, you may want to add more sweetener for balance.
- The recipe can be made with other fruits like strawberries, blueberries, mango, or pineapple for variation.
- You can stir in mix-ins such as nuts, coconut, peanut butter, or chocolate chips to add texture and flavor.
- Honey should not be given to babies under 1 year old; consider alternatives like agave or maple syrup.
