Healthy Turkey Meatballs
Healthy Turkey Meatballs come together by mixing gluten-free or regular breadcrumbs with Parmesan, parsley, Italian seasoning, garlic, onion powder, salt, and whisked egg, then combining with ground turkey and baking. The result is tender meatballs with balanced seasoning and a browned exterior when baked.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (gluten-free, if desired)
- 2 ounces Parmesan Cheese grated
- 4 tablespoons parsley finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons Italian seasoning
- 3 teaspoons garlic minced, fresh
- 2 teaspoons onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 egg whisked, large
- 1 pound ground turkey 93% lean
- 1 1/2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
- Heat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, mix all the ingredients except the turkey and olive oil. Once mixed, add in the turkey and mix until just combined.
- Scoop out 1 tbsp-sized balls (I use a cookie scoop) and place onto the baking sheet, rubbing them with oil.
- Bake for 15 minutes, or until a thermometer inserted in the center reads 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Serve with your favorite pasta sauce and DEVOUR!
