Ingredients
- 1.5 cups chickpeas cooked or canned
- 2 tablespoons unsweetened applesauce
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice approx. half a large lemon
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup
- 2 tablespoons unrefined coconut sugar or brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
Optional Dippers
- sliced melon, pineapple, apple slices, strawberries, banana, grapes, raspberries, blueberries
- pretzels, marshmallows, cookies, graham crackers
Instructions
- Add all the ingredients to a blender or the bowl of your food processor and process until smooth.
- Serve with your favourite fruits or other dippers.

Notes
- Use chickpeas with no added salt. This is a dessert after all. :)
- Chickpeas that are cooked from dried will be creamier compared to canned, but use whatever you have available.
- Use a high-speed blender for ultimate creaminess and smoothest texture.
- Once blended smooth, taste, and adjust for sweetness if needed.
