Hearty Slow Cooker Pork and Beef Chili

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon of cumin
  • 1.5 tablespoon of paprika
  • 4 tablespoon of chilli powder and then I freehanded some more
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 6 garlic cloves finely diced
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 lb leanĀ beef
  • 1 lb lean pork
  • 1 Can of Pinto Beans
  • 1 can of black beans
  • 1 can of kidney beans
  • 1 can of diced tomatoes
  • 1 can of tomato paste

Instructions

  1. In a pan, put in your onion, garlic, and dry seasoning for around 3 minutes before putting in the pork and beef.
  2. Cook the meat (don't forget to break it up) until lightly browned before transferring it into the slow cooker.
  3. Then pour in your beans (3 cans is a lot of liquids so pick one to drain), diced tomato, tomato paste, and add more chilli powder, salt, and pepper if you desire.
  4. Set for 8 hours on low.
  5. Optional: Grate on cheese and a dollop of sour cream before serving if desired
