Hojicha Latte (Hot or Iced) ほうじ茶ラテ

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp hōjicha powder
  • 2 tbsp hot water
  • 150 ml milk of your choice *1
  • 1 tsp sugar or sweetener *optional

Instructions

Hot Hojicha Latte
    Cup of Yum
  1. Sift the hojicha powder to remove any clumps into a tea bowl using a fine sieve.
  2. Pour 2 tbsp of hot water into the tea bowl and whisk vigorously with a bamboo whisk. Set it aside.
  3. Heat milk of your choice until it is warm and frothy.
  4. Combine the brewed hojicha with the heated milk by pouring the milk into hojicha in a cup.
  5. Sweeten to taste with your chosen sweetener if you like.
Iced Hojicha Latte
  1. Sift the hojicha powder to remove any clumps into a tea bowl.
  2. Pour 2 tbsp hot water into the tea bowl and whisk vigorously with a bamboo whisk.
  3. Place ice cubes and cold milk into a glass then pour in the hojicha.

Notes

  • *1 I used Oat milk. 
  • *2 nutritional value is calculated with whole milk.
