Homemade Applesauce

A delicious Homemade Applesauce recipe that will make you wonder why you ever used store-bought! Only ingredients, easy, simple and good for you.

Ingredients

  • 4 medium apples
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions

  1. In a medium pot add the chopped peeled apples, water and  lemon juice. Cover the pot and cook on low for about 15 - 20 minutes.
  2. Or until the apples are soft, then add the sugar and cinnamon and mix to combine. Mash the apple with a potato masher or fork and continue to cook for another 5 minutes or until thickened. Let cool before storing in a glass jar or container. Enjoy!
