Ingredients

  • 1 14 ounce can tomato sauce
  • 1 6 ounce can tomato paste
  • 3 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 3 tablespoons pure maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons unsulfured molasses
  • 4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 3 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 3 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce  vegan version, if desired
  • 1 teaspoon yellow mustard
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ⅛– ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper

Instructions

  1. Whisk together all of the ingredients in a medium saucepan set over medium heat.
  2. Bring to a boil and simmer, partially covered, for 5 to 6 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. Store in a glass jar in the refrigerator. Use as desired.
