Homemade Biscuit Mix

This Biscuit Mix is easy to make and can be used for so many different things!

Ingredients

  • 6 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup shortening
  • 3 tablespoons baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Place all ingredients in a food processor. Pulse until well mixed, about 5 times.
  2. Store mixture in the refrigerator or freezer for up to 3 months.
  3. Use in recipes calling for biscuit mix or bake biscuits.

Notes

  • To Make BiscuitsCombine 3 cups biscuit mix with 1 cup milk or buttermilk. Roll out dough 1/2" thick and cut into circles.Place on an ungreased tray and bake at 425°F for 8-10 minutes.
  • If you don't have shortening, use butter or margarine instead. (Use the same amount of butter or margarine as shortening) 
  • Store in the fridge or freezer for up to 3 months
