Ingredients
- 14 tablespoons all-purpose flour (3/4 cup + 2 tablespoons) (109g)
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch (16g)
Instructions
- Add all purpose flour and cornstarch to a bowl. Sift the flour into another mixing bowl. Sift another 1 to 2 times. Sifting aerates the flour and ensures the mixture is fully combined.
Cup of Yum
Notes
- We use a mesh sieve to sift the flour.
- Sifting introduces air into the mixture. Therefore, this recipe may produce more than one cup of cake flour. If a recipe calls for 1 cup of cake flour, you will need to measure 1 cup from the mixture.
- Do not use cornmeal in this recipe. It is NOT the same as cornstarch. In some countries, like the UK, cornstarch is called corn flour.
