Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup whole-wheat pastry flour (for best results, but use regular whole-wheat flour if that's all you've got)
  • 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/8 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 5 tablespoons milk (can sub water)
  • 2 tablespoons chocolate chips

  1. Whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking soda, and salt in a microwave-safe coffee cup. Stir in the melted butter, milk (or water), and chocolate chips until smooth.
  2. Microwave on high for about 90 seconds, until firm. Garnish with fresh berries and/or whipped cream.
